¿Chase Drivers?

¿Cual es la función del Chase Driver que siempre se ven en algunos despachos de algunos FD en Estadus Unidos, en este casi particular en FDNY?

Casi siempre andan en unas camionetas tipo K (vehículo de comandancia)

chase drivers in the FDNY are usually chiefs or somebody important that gets
driven around, but get reffered to by their assignment BC,DC, etc and the
special units have them as well and thats all part of special operations that
if they had to take another peice such s the collapse unit, hazmat, they
would be in that along with the main peice of apparatus, Ex: Rescue 3 also
has the collapse unit so if their is a collapse R3 and the collapse unit
would go along with the rest of the assignment to that box

aer, aer,,, si mi memoria esta correcta esto es lo que daban en un programa del People & Art, que se llamaba "Aprueba de Todo" me acuerdo del programa ya que el hombre que va en el vehiculo de reconocimiento murio en el 9/11/2001 WTC....
era muy bueno ese programa.8)
